That's right I'm a Google Junkie! I've been running the latest Beta version of Google Chrome and love the features available in the new chrome web store. Really I just happened by it by chance. Oh Free Apps, so I spent some time exploring. They have as many Apps as the Apple Market and their available for both Mac and Windows platforms. First I ran though the educational apps for my kids and well the work great on my HP touch. My favorite app is Zoodles! This app is available on iTunes, the Android Market, as well as Chrome. You can customize the programing by inputing you child's age and it will generate age appropriate videos and games for them to play and learn.

On to the Accessibility Apps - The Chrome Web Store to me is like shopping in the mall the day before Christmas. Its busy and not well organized in my opinion. In order to find what your looking for you had better be familiar with key terms such as: Text to Speech, Zoom, Reader, and Accessibility. Actually most of the apps are listed under the label Extensions, although some are listed as Utilities. Thus don't try searching for an app based on a specific disability such as Visual Impairment.

White Text, Black Background, Blue Links
Turns text white, links blue and background black. Visually impaired may find the negative to the average a little easier to read. Actually saves energy too because the monitor uses less power to display black. If you have a darker theme and like that look, you might also find this useful.

TidyRead
TidyRead renders web pages with better readability as an-easy-to-read manner, similar to eBooks, by accurately extracting the context text and removing the cluttered materials. Read what you should and nothing else.
TidyRead extracts the text from almost any web site and displays it on an easy to read page that removes all of the clutter that can make reading on the internet so hard sometimes. While reading is one of the main activities on the internet, a lot of sites pay very little attention to the readability of their text. Instead, the reader's eye is constantly drawn to other UI elements, ads, and widgets. TidyRead strips away all the extra stuff from news or blog article pages, leaving you with some nicely formatted text to read.

PlainClothes
This extension styles -- or rather "unstyles" -- the web. Just imagine: text is black, backgrounds are white, unread links are blue, visited links are purple, all links are underlined. Or any other colors you like. And all text is rendered in your default fonts (as defined in "Options" > "Under the Hood" > "Change font and language settings"). Everywhere. Automatically.

A technique of exposing detail to color blind users, allowing them to see what they would have otherwise missed.
